MY MISSION: MY PASSION
Hi, I’m Rupinder – a mom, wife, and raw home un-cook. I spent all my spare time reading up on raw food, finding the best equipments and accessories, and experimenting with best of local, seasonal and organic ingredients to prepare simple, delicious, well combined and easy to digest living plant based recipes – which I love to share on my blog to help people reap the benefits of including more and more raw food in their daily diet. My recipes are not only raw and gluten-free, oil free, sugar free or dairy free but also not heated or cooked in any way.
If you have been following my blog or my Facebook page for some time, or have read snippets of my story here and there, you must know that I follow a raw and vegan lifestyle. If not, let me give you a brief background of why and how I started my journey into raw food. I was diagnosed with jaundice when I was 30 years old. Even after under going various tests, treatments, pathies and medicines for more than a year I could not regain complete health and wellness. This is when I realized that I need to take health into my hands and look into alternative ways to end my suffering. Finally by making major dietary changes by going fully raw for a couple of days I saw major signs of recovery and hence decided to continue my journey to regain health.
After investing lot of time, efforts and commitment for months by turning my kitchen into a laboratory for revamping my culinary point of view, I self trained myself in the art of fresh, natural, plant based, dairy free, gluten free, well combined and easy to digest recipes to heal my body. With my love for natural food, and an equal love for writing, I started my blog Raw Rasoi in Dec 2015 with the aim to not only end my own suffering but also to share my raw food journey, recipes, articles and much more to help people reap the benefits of including more and more fresh and natural food in their daily diet without feeling alone or lost while transitioning into to this extremely different diet.
